Hey soccer gurus, this game goes off in about 45 mins, was just wondering if any of you guys had an opinion... I'm even more clueless about handicapping this sport than others, but I've really started watching soccer since the World Cup, never thought that would happen... I was thinking there is some value on Aston Villa in this game at +260, but wanted your thoughts before I made a stupid wager... thanks

but if you are betting the 3 way line and you like such a high priced dog to win outright you may want to back up your bet with the draw at +230. Quantumleap has made me money with his system taking dogs and putting some $$ the draw when he likes a dog to win outright. There is great value on AV today but home field advantage may play a key role here vs. the Hammers. Personally I like AV plus the half goal -130 juice. Just my opinion. I have been thinking that teams playing in league games on the road are happy with a draw at times. That's why I'm reluctant to bet just the win, especially for big dogs on the road.
I'm also thinking that there is a different dynamic with international matches where the road team is looking for a win. We'll have to see with the Champions League coming up this week. I may have to bet a little less toward the draw. That's why I like taking the win and the draw in the same bet rather than the spread (Asian handicap). I can put more on whichever bet I think has a better chance.
